It has not taken long for Cincinnati Reds pitcher Andrew Abbott to emerge as one of the best young hurlers in Baseball. The call-up proved that again on Sunday in the team's game against the San Diego Padres. The 24-year-old was giving batters headaches in his seven and two-thirds innings of work, striking out a career-high 12 batters and allowing only four hits on the day. Abbott now has a 1.21 ERA, the second-best through six career appearances in Reds history.
