Elly De La Cruz has not wasted any time introducing himself to MLB. After debuting just one game prior, the 21-year-old cracked his first moonshot, sending a ball 458 feet. The hit had an exit velocity of 114.8, which is the second-hardest-hit first home run of the modern Statcast era. In the third inning, the phenom hit a ball into right-center field. Most players would have settled for a double, but not Cruz. Instead, he rounded second and recorded his first-career triple. In doing so, he set the fastest time from home to third this year at 10.83 seconds.
