In his first 12 games of the 2023 Major League Baseball campaign, Christopher Morel spared no time in making his presence felt in the Chicago Cubs lineup, already connecting for a jaw-dropping nine home runs and batting .367. Last night, in the seventh inning of his Club's meeting with the New York Mets, Morel went long to left field, extending his home-run streak to an impressive five games. Amazingly, Morel's ninth blast of the season ties him with Luis Gonzalez and Larry Walker for the second-most in League history for a player's first 12 games of a season, behind Mike Schmidt (11).
