His career has spanned three decades and on Saturday evening, the 39-year-old joined some rare company for strikeout victims. After ringing up Joey Wiemer looking in the bottom of the fifth, Greinke became just the fifth pitcher in AL/NL history to strike out 1,000 different Major League hitters - quite an accomplishment and a testament to a long and prosperous career.
