After striking out Astros shortstop Jeremy Peña for the 502nd strikeout of his MLB career, Ohtani passed Babe Ruth for the most career strikeouts for a two-way player. Additionally, over the course of his outing, Ohtani upped his 2023 strikeout tally to an American League-leading 66.
