Last night, in what was eventually a rain-abbreviated, five-inning affair, Atlanta Braves slugger Matt Olson passed the 500-RBI mark in just his 764th Major League Baseball contest. The milestone runs were generated courtesy of a 433-foot, three-run longball after the 29-year-old, Lilburn, Georgia native connected with a pitch from Mets hurler David Peterson. Olson now sits at 501 career RBI, and to make this memorable occasion that much more memorable, they came as part of a Braves victory, 4-0.
