After picking up the 10th win of his 2022 MLB campaign, he joined Babe Ruth as the only two pitchers in history to notch both 10 wins and 10 home runs in a single season. Additionally, he passed his hero, Ichiro, on the all-time, Japanese-born home-run list when he smashed his 118th MLB career longball in the seventh inning of the contest.
