Although his Club would eventually take home a 1-0 loss at the conclusion of their 18-innings-long Game 3 of the ALDS against the Houston Astros, Seattle Mariners starting pitcher George Kirby had a remarkable outing. In what was his Postseason debut, Kirby took the mound for seven innings and allowed no runs, becoming just the second hurler in Mariners history to have a scoreless Postseason debut, joining John Halama, who did so in 2000.
