The Brunswick, Georgia, hurler scattered just two hits, allowed no runs and struck out seven batters over the course of his 88-pitch gem. At age 39 years and 346 days, Wainwright is the oldest pitcher to twirl a complete-game shutout on 88 pitches or less since pitch counts began being recorded in 1988.
