In the top of the third inning in the AL West showdown between the Angels and the Seattle Mariners, Shohei Ohtani clubbed his 33rd home run of the 2021 season. This was Shohei's 16th longball in his last 21 games, marking the most homers in a 21-game span in a single season in AL history. The 27-year-old sensation put a charge into an up-and-in sinker from Marco Gonzales and sent it into the right-field upper deck. Ohtani is just one of six MLB players to reach that part of T-Mobile Park as he struck it with an exit velocity of 116.5 mph and a distance traveled of 463 feet.
