Wander Franco - 2021 MLB TOPPS NOW® Card 402 - PR: 61305
After spending nearly two seasons as MLB Pipeline's top prospect, Wander Franco made his highly anticipated debut against the Boston Red Sox and became the first MLB player to be born in the year 2001. Down 5-2 in the bottom of the fifth inning with two runners on base, Franco crushed a breaking ball and sent it over the left-field wall for a game-tying, three-run blast. With this monumental first hit, Wander became the youngest third baseman in MLB history to hit a longball in his debut. In his next at-bat, the 20-year-old laced a 105-mph double, per Statcast. Franco finished the contest 2-for-4 with three RBI to cap his stellar League inauguration.
