Young Talent Brings the Heat in Emergency Duty 2020 Topps NOW #5

After Clayton Kershaw was scratched from Thursday night's start with back stiffness, the Dodgers tabbed Dustin as their emergency Opening Night starter. Pitching in only his fifth Major League start, May was the first Dodgers rookie to start an opener since Fernando Valenzuela in 1981. The 6'6" righthander was solid – scattering seven singles across 4.1 innings while striking out four. He averaged 95.8 MPH on his fastball and flashed triple digits on the radar gun a few times as well.
