There was much fanfare heading into Wednesday night's matchup between the White Sox and Tigers, as two of the respective organizations' top pitching prospects would be making their MLB debuts. Facing off against Detroit's Casey Mize, Dane struck out seven Tigers batters in 4.1 innings of work. That marked the first time since 1901 that two debuting pitchers had struck out that many batters.
