Pittsburgh Pirates' catcher Ryan Doumit will rejoining the club on Friday in time for their series against the Philadelphia Phillies.

Doumit has been on the disabled list since he fractured his wrist on April 21st.

After batting .318 with 15 HR last season, Doumit has played in only 12 games in 2009. He was not expected to come off the DL until after the All-Star break, but will come back sooner than expected.

The addition of Doumit's bat to the middle of the order should help boost an offense that has scored one run or less in more games than any team in the majors.
